With the opportunity to work in one of our specialised Tax areas – Innovation and Incentives. Our Innovation Incentives team works with clients from the very outset of an idea through to making it a commercial reality.  From start-ups to ASX listed companies, our team works with clients to identify the best government and industry-focused programs to leverage their position, help them navigate Research and Development Tax Incentives, and assist them with their Export Market Development as they expand internationally. Are you curious about cutting edge ideas and how companies can leverage innovation incentives to fund R&D and commercialisation?

  • As a vacationer, you’ll have the opportunity to:
  • Work on real client engagements
  • Get involved in our committees and clubs

Taking place over 4 weeks in February 2022, our vacation experience program is open to penultimate or final year students who are undertaking either undergraduate or postgraduate studies.

  • We genuinely care about our clients. As part of our work, we discover what’s important to them and enjoy helping them succeed.
  • We want our people to bring their whole selves to work. Individuality and authenticity are very important to our firm.
  • We highly value collaboration. We believe that it’s energising and stimulating to collaborate – to learn from and be inspired by others. We believe that diverse teams will always outperform the individual.

Typical days consist of drafting income tax compliance and financial statement workpapers for small to medium organisations. This usually means preparing financials and tax returns for the primary cash generating entity and flowing this through the group structure to the individuals who own/operate the group and preparing their individual income tax return as well.

I check emails and organise my day then i start looking through my ms or what i left of the day before and get straight into work. Ask questions when unsure. Responsibilities involve making sure i have all the right workpapers, supporting documents and i am processing client work as best as i can before sending off to review.
